Get ready for another blood-soaked journey through the woods—In A Violent Nature 2 Begins Filming This Fall.

Following its breakout debut at the Sundance Film Festival and a successful theatrical run, the unique slasher film is getting a highly anticipated sequel. IFC Films and Shudder first announced the project at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, teasing the return of horror’s newest masked menace: Johnny.

Chris Nash, the creative force behind the original, is back to pen the script, promising another chilling chapter in this inventive take on the slasher genre.

“In a Violent Nature demonstrated that there continues to be a yearning for new perspectives in the horror landscape,” said Scott Shooman, head of AMC Networks’ Film Group. “We knew immediately that this distinctive take on the slasher would enthrall fans and are glad to see the community embrace a new slasher icon in Johnny. With the sequel, we aim to prove that Johnny can be bigger, meaner, and his kills can only get more impressive.”

While plot details are still under wraps, we know the film is being produced by Pete Kuplowsky and Shannon Hanmer, with Emily Gotto, Nicholas Lazo, and Samuel Zimmerman leading the project’s development for Shudder.
